The Six-Lesson Schoolteacher by John Taylor Gatto is the call to arms of the unschooling movement – one of them, anyway. It is though-provoking, hard-hitting, fierce in its condemnation of the public school system of America (and beyond). It was written in 1991. It still applies today.
